Guest house ‘La Bergerie’ is situated in the small mountain village of Champcella, about 20 km south of Briançon, in the French Alps. The village is situated in one of the most beautiful and sunniest places in South-East France. Built in 1667, ‘La Bergerie’ served as a farmhouse for many years. The shepherds and their sheep left quite some time ago, but the hospitality and the atmosphere of the house are reminders of this bygone age. Modern facilities and comforts have been added to the guest house. ‘La Bergerie’ can accommodate 10 guests in spacious twin/double or family rooms. The host and hostess are a Dutch couple who will assist and advise you during your stay. The house has three showers and three toilets. Each bedroom has its own fitted washbasin. The rooms, offering a lot of privacy, each has a balcony or window with views at the mountains.

There are various places in and around the guest house where you can relax and read a book or enjoy a nice glass of wine, for example by the fireplace, by the stream, in the shade of a tree in the garden or at the table in the living room.

You won’t find a bustling tourist centre with discos in the village. What we do have is a hospitable house where you will quickly feel at home. With approximately 150 inhabitants, Champcella is a quiet village where you can enjoy a peaceful holiday. The village is also called ‘the balcony Champcella’, because of its location on a sunny plateau. From this balcony, you have a stunning view of the surrounding mountains by day and a spectacular view of the stars at night.
